Untitled (1998)

In 1997 after painting this picture I was inspired to shoot this series of photographs of people with
various items bought from the market: fish, pig's trotters and eels. I invited some friends to come
and pose with the items. I printed one of the photos on a transparency and built a light box for it.
I partially buried this box in a pile of dirt from a courtyard house they were demolishing near my home.
